Darling is a light mood funny TV show which presents witty & at times taunting treatment of socio-political events, issues and situations. The title of the show is emerged from the anchor’s name “Khalid Abbas Dar” and the word “Darling. The show is presented on express news on every Sunday at 8:05pm. Host of the show Khalid Abbas Dar plays double role in the show, one as an anchor and host of the show who looks well-dressed while in other role he presents himself as a layman with casual dress like villager along with another hilarious character whose name is Amanat Chan who is well famous comedian and theater actor.

Darling is presented on express news which is 24 hour Urdu news channel from Pakistan. It was launched on January 1, 2008 with headquarter in Lahore, Pakistan. The channel is owned by Daily Express newspaper which is Pakistan’s 2nd largest news group. Express news presents news bulletin, breaking news, latest news, talk shows and various other entertainment and infotainment based programs. Siasi Theater is the other hilarious programs presented on express news. PTV Sports Live, Geo news, duyna news, ary news and samaa news are the other channels with same category with express news exist in Pakistan.

Host of the show Khalid Abbas Dar started his showbiz career in 1954 with radio Pakistan as a child star. Till now he has done tons of work on theater, television and on radio. He also has awarded Pride of Performance award along with many others. He himself is a witty character with huge experience of comedy in theater. Nawaz Anjum was previously participating in the show along with Khalid Abbas Dar. Currently Amanat Chan is assisting him in the show.

Darling consists of various comedy segments including interviewing celebrity in light mood. Jugni and other parody songs are the other popular segments of the show. In the show many core social and political issues are discussed between Darling and Dar with funny comments from darling and other character of the show.
