Geo Dost

Geo Dost is a link based citizen journalism show which provides every Pakistani a chance to be a journalist. Geo Dost tastes the youth of Pakistan with professional journalism without having professional journalism training, and that is also at their own convenience and with basic accessories, like Cell phones and Internet. Geo Dost is a unique type of production, many other program of its kind from other channels were launched but unable to picked the same response as Geo Dost did with in Pakistan and outside of Pakistan as well. Waqat Zaka hosts Geo Dost on geo news live streaming. He is young, energetic and intelligent presenter of the show. In each episode of the show he goes to particular place to intact with people and provides them an opportunity to share their comments on TV about show’s specific topic for that day. In majority, he presents show on the roads, streets, malls, hotels, parks and sea view of Karachi.

Geo Dost exclusively broadcasts on Geo News on every Sunday at 07:05pm with repeat telecasts on next day at 05:30am and 09:05am. Being a leading news channel from Pakistan, Geo News has a history of producing such interesting and unique programs. The channel was launched in October 2002. Geo news is owned by Jang media group which is Pakistan largest media group. The channels headquarter is situated in Karachi, Pakistan.  Geo news is one of the leading news channel in Pakistan amongst the other top channels including Express News, ARY News, Dunya News, Samaa News and AAJ News. The channel also presents many other entertainment and infotainment based programs including: Hum Sub Umeed Se Hain, Khabarnak and BNN. Other were also launched shows like Geo Dost but none of them such viewership as Geo Dost did.

Waqar Zaka has presented Geo Dost from other cities of Pakistan as well including Peshawar, Naraan, Khaghan Valley, Lahore, and Hyderabad to explore their natural beauty and rich heritage. Waqar Zaka, himself is a funny guy. He presents the show with lot of fun and enthusiasm. Hundreds of new videos are being shared with Geo Dost by the people on daily basis. This indicates the amount popularity of the show.
